About
I’m a teacher and PhD candidate slowly writing a dissertation on Marx, abstraction, and reading.
I started making block prints for my mental health during my coursework, then eventually started selling them because graduate stipends are abysmal.
It blossomed from selling prints and shirts as fundraisers for strike funds, bail funds, immigration and asylum seekers, rent, food, and visa bills, and trans-rights organizations.
This shop isn’t my full-time job, but it’s helped me make more of an impact for any of these causes than I could before, and obviously help assuage some of the pressure of financial precarity.
This silly art has also allowed me to meet truly wonderful people I now count as some of my closest comrades.
I hope to do more and meet more folks as I go.
